Adam Beam was born May 29, 1783 in Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania, the son of John Beam and Barbara Walter. He married Catharine Gonder, daughter of Captain Jacob Gonder (3rd Regiment Lincoln Militia) on November 17, 1818. To them were born 13 children, as follows:

Josiah Bearss was born in 1792 in Connecticut, the son of David Bearss and Rhoda Richmond. He came to Canada with his parents and ten siblings in 1793, settling in Humberstone Twp.

Jacob Benner, Jr. was born in 1783 and baptized on November 16, 1783 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Red Hook, Dutchess County, New York, USA. He was the son of Jacob Benner, Sr. and Susannah Pinck. Jacob came to Canada with his parents in June 1798 at the age of 15 years.

Phillip Benner was born in 1782 and was baptized June 6, 1783 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Red Hook, Dutchess County, New York. He was the son of Jacob Benner, Sr. and Susannah Pinck. In June 1798 he came to Canada with his parents.

Joseph Danner was born in the US in 1774. He emigrated to Canada in 1807. His wife was Rebecca Blackmore, born in 1800 in the US. They had at least five children:

Lewis House was born 16 July 1788 in Lincoln Co., Upper Canada, although in research it is also noted that he may have been born in the Mohawk Valley, New York State. He was the son of George House and Maria Polly Mabie. George House served with his brother, Harmonus House in Captain Walter Butler’s Company, Butler’s Rangers.

John Edsall was born February 13, 1787 in Bertie Twp., the son of James Edsall and his wife, Julia. He was of Scottish descent.
John married Catherine Plato (b. 1792 in Bertie Twp.), daughter of Peter James Plato and Gertrude Catherina Bowen c. 1813. They had seven children: Peter (born 1814), William, John Alexander, Charlotte Emeline, Jane, Lyman and Milan.

In older records, there is much confusion between the surnames Johnson, Johnston and Jansen.
Conrad Jansen was the son of Jehoiakim Jansen; grandson of Coenraad Jansen, UE and Mary his wife. Conrad was born in Bertie Twp. in 1796 likely a few hundred yards from his resting place. Following the deaths of his grandfather and father, he inherited the lands just west of the Zion Cemetery.

There is limited information available about Jehoiakim Jansen. It is thought he was born c 1774 in New York Province, Thirteen Colonies, the son of Coenraad Jansen and his wife Mary.

William Forsyth(e) was born in 1771 in Tryon County, New York Province in the Thirteen Colonies. He was the son of United Empire Loyalist, James Forsyth and his wife, Eunice who settled in Niagara Falls.
